Rocket Optimizer
Desktop app that searches solid rocket motor designs with openMotor’s ballistics engine and returns the ones that satisfy a set of limits.
- —Multi-objective genetic search (NSGA-II), plus a surrogate mode that fits models to every simulation so far and re-verifies each reported design at a finer timestep.
- —Closed-form BATES geometry and a core-ordering symmetry, checked against the simulator in CI, shrink the search space before any simulation runs.
- —Packaged for macOS and Windows with a GitHub Actions release pipeline. Exports PDF reports, design sheets, openMotor files and a RASP .eng for OpenRocket.
Ongoing
Co-designer
V5 High-Performance Quadcopter
A high-speed quadcopter platform built around propulsion efficiency and aerodynamic optimization.
- —Evaluating motor KV ratings, ESC compatibility, battery discharge limits and thrust-to-weight ratios.
- —Applying force modeling and drag estimation to guide hardware decisions.
- —Iterating hardware configurations against defined performance targets.
Experience
2024 — 2025
Summer Camp Counselor at YMCA
Two summers running structured activity programs for groups of 15 to 20 kids.
- —Led daily operations under strict safety and time constraints.
- —Resolved conflicts and kept groups accountable in a high-responsibility setting.
- —Communicated with parents and program leadership.
